Using storytelling as a central tool, each class is designed to be engaging, fun, and playful. Participants can expect to participate in activities like music, songs, and rhymes, while also learning yoga postures, breathing exercises, dry massage techniques, and affirmations.

The class encourages children and their families to explore their creativity and self-expression freely, with the environment being likened to "the room is their yoga mat".

WOCY Family Yoga with Children (3-7 years) - SEND Focus

WOCY Family Yoga with Children (3-7 years) - SEND Focus is a specialised yoga class designed to cater to the unique needs of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other sensory processing challenges. This class offers a safe and supportive environment where children can explore yoga practices tailored to their individual abilities and preferences, with the guidance and assistance of their family members or caregivers.

Yoga provides a holistic approach to promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being in autistic children. Through gentle movements, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, yoga enhances physical coordination, balance, and flexibility, while also fostering emotional regulation, reducing anxiety, and improving sleep patterns. The structured nature of yoga sessions appeals to routine-loving children, offering a predictable and calming environment.

Moreover, yoga encourages social connections in a non-competitive setting, allowing children to interact with their peers and family members in a supportive atmosphere. Sensory integration is promoted through mindful movement and body awareness, aiding in the development of self-esteem as children achieve new poses and milestones.

Central to the success of this program is the one-on-one support provided by family members or caregivers. With patience and flexibility, yoga practices can be adapted to accommodate each child's unique needs and abilities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants.

Balancing Women's Yoga (including Teen Girls)

Women’s Yoga is about recognising that most yoga practised in yoga classes is based on yoga designed by the original male yogis for male yogis. Women’s yoga is about embracing the biological realities of being a woman and adapting yoga to suit a woman’s body which is different to a man's body by design!

Balancing Women's yoga is about honouring the natural hormonal cycles which exist within, whether or not a menstrual cycle is present.

During classes I encourage women to be curious about themselves, to learn about their strengths and the challenges they face. This enables women to learn life tools that help them to gain emotional balance, confidence, compassion and connection within themselves and with others.

Empowering Women's Yoga (Perimenopause Self-Care) (Monthly Workshops)

Are you permanently switched on? Are you enjoying your current hectic pace of life? Do you feel the stress of expectations? Expectations you have of yourself and from society?

Do you keep going no matter what?

Do you wonder if you want to live in this way for years to come?

If you're in your mid-thirties or older, these can all be signs you're starting the process of Menopause. Menopause can be sudden, or it can take time, lasting for more or less than 10 years (perimenopause).

Empowering Women's Yoga is about recognising signs of change associated with Menopause and embracing these changes, whether these are changes relating to your body, your feelings, your emotions, your values and/or your brain.

Empowering Women's Yoga is about honouring the natural cycles which exist within you, whether you still have a menstrual cycle or not. It you have an irregular menstrual cycle or no menstrual cycle, you may be guided by the feminine energy of the moon cycle.

It takes time to figure out what perimenopause and menopause means to each of us as individuals. So, during this period of self-discovery I encourage my students to support each other through this period of Growth, Evolution and Transformation, so they can navigate this time of change and beyond with ease and grace.

In addition, Empowering Women’s Yoga:

  • Shares tools to help manage some of the symptoms of Perimenopause

  • Maintains physical strength and flexibility

  • Promotes emotional balancing and stability

  • Builds confidence and courage

  • Promotes cleansing and healing
