WOCY Family Yoga with Pre-Schoolers

‘Anjli is patient, kind and makes a huge effort providing the children with interesting class themes every week. We love it and I am so glad that my little girl is learning and taking an interest in yoga. Thank you Anjli!’

Gemma, Rae’s (Age 2) Mum

'Myself and my 2 and a half year old daughter both really enjoy attending the WOCY class every week. It is great exercise and a nice way to meet other like-minded families. My daughter likes learning all the yoga poses and then practices them at home :)'

‘I have been taking my nephew to Anjli’s classes for the last 4 years. I started with my older nephew, at that stage it was hard for him to focus and keep calm. The combination of family yoga with stories and activities helped him to keep engaged. For us, Anjli’s classes have been a family activity where we can learn things but also start becoming comfortable with the discipline of yoga.’

Aunt, Class attendee (Age 9)

‘Let me tell you that my daughter and I, both yoga novices to start, have benefitted from this class more than I could have anticipated!
Relaxation was our goal, we achieved that amongst many other things including posture and balance awareness and techniques, enjoyment and learning through the many themes covered, and opportunities to explore some fun and interesting techniques. It’s clear the amount of effort and planning that goes into each class.

Anjli has a lovely rapport with children and adults alike, a truly patient, supportive and responsive teacher who is open to fun!’

WOCY Mum & Daughter with Tweens

‘My 10 year old daughter and I look forward to the mother and daughter yoga classes every month. It’s a fun, interactive class where we can enjoy having quality time together just the two of us, which is so important. Anjli engages so well with all abilities and makes the class different each month. My daughter particularly loves all the partner poses which can often also be a bit of a giggle too!’

Lucy, Simone’s Mum

Yoga is really fun and relaxing and I like it when I do yoga positions with my mum. There are lots of fun exercises that are really good for my muscles and the breathing is nice and calming.’

Simone’s , 10 years old

‘Liv and I both look forward to our monthly Mother and Daughter Yoga; it is a really lovely way to end the weekend and to set ourselves up for the week ahead. It is so nice to not only do yoga alongside one another, but also to work on partner poses supporting each other. We also both enjoy the partner massage and meditative activities. So much thought clearly goes into every class and Anjli always provides calm guidance and encouragement.'

Ruth, Liv’s Mum

‘I think yoga is really fun because you can do a bunch of different poses and creative activities too. I like doing yoga with my mum because I am too shy to do it on my own.’

WOCY Mum & Daughter with Teens

‘My daughter and I have been going to Anjili's classes for over a year now, and it has been brilliant. The classes are structured to suit both of us with plenty of useful information as well. We both look forward to the classes every week and come back home with lots of discussions around the new asanas we learnt or the new topics we discussed. Anjili always reminds us to be "kind to ourselves" - this is the core of yoga and a fact we all need reminding of in these difficult times. For me, this is a great way to spend time with my daughter and I would highly recommend it to every parent.’

Sathya, Akshaya’s Mum

‘These sessions are a lovely calming way to prepare for the weeks ahead both for me and my daughters. During the turbulent teen years, Anjli’s yoga class teaches how to cope mentally and physically. She has a lovely relationship with the girls and manages to direct them with ease. I would encourage you to try her class.’

Sim, Khushi & Krishna’s Mum

‘My daughter and I have been coming to Sunday mum and daughter yoga classes since Anjli started them years ago. Classes are fantastic opportunity for me to spend one hour with my teenage daughter in a very spiritual, intimate, safe and not judgemental environment. The Sunday class ends a busy week but also resets us both for challenges ahead. Calm voice of Anjli’s meditation, gentle music and a sound of yoga bell are healing in itself . The added bonus is the venue and beautiful grounds where the classes take place.’

Justyna, Abi’s Mum

‘I like yoga because I get to go with my mum and not by myself. It’s not that difficult and I am able to do the yoga poses. Sometimes I can be a little tired but there’s also a relaxing bit at the end which is very nice.’

Abi, 12 years old

‘Her passion for yoga incorporates giving children life skills.

During lock-down studies, both my daughter's spent many hours sitting at a keyboard. Yoga taught them how to realign their spine, shoulders and regain body flexibility.

As a Parent, providing the opportunity for my children to learn these skills are one of the most proudest teachings I feel they are learning. A gift to support them making better choices as adults, to be considerate, peaceful, able to reset themselves into a healthy mindset and support their physical strength.’

I really enjoy these classes as they help me feel calm’

Class attendee, Age 7

‘After months of doing your yoga classes and coming home saying he doesn’t like yoga, my son came home last week and said how much he enjoyed it and how calm he felt at the end of class. Thank you so much for keeping going!’

Teacher & Parent of Class attendee, Age 6

‘S came home from yoga on Friday, after not doing it last term and said how much she enjoyed yoga and how calm she felt after it.’

Mum, Class attendee, Age 8

His Mum and I were amazed that he spontaneously, without prompting said to us ‘look what I can do!’ as he balanced in Tree pose for a length of time, longer than we thought he could. This was amazing to me as he really struggles with focus.

Thank you!’

‘C loves yoga so much…a few weeks ago it was so beautiful, we were in (Pinner) Park and at one point C crossed her legs, closed her eyes and just sat quietly saying 'this is what we do in yoga'. It was so beautiful - thank you!’

Mum, Class attendee, Age 4

I love your yoga classes…I wish I could find some time away from my desk to come and join in…one of the staff in the room just mentioned to me, she loved the class too!

‘Her classes are child centred, engaging and full of soul, will definitely recommend!!

The session with Anjli was fantastic. The way she incorporates yoga with story telling and education on cultures was way beyond my expectations. All the children were able to take part and learn some yoga positions, and have fun as well as learning more about the world we live in.

The children all enjoyed the session and rated it 5 stars. One young person said "It was nice to finally get to learn yoga, it was so relaxing and I can even remember the names of some moves already."

'I've been to pranayama workshops before, although haven't been able to grasp the techniques. I'm grateful for the clarity of your explanations and now its up to me to practise!'
